Online Article Marketing
It has been quite some time since my last blog post; I’ve been focusing almost all of my efforts into online writing via other venues, and working on a book along the way. In the end it’s about doing something positive and moving in a direction of success… no one ever found success who wasn’t looking for it. And there are many things we cannot control in our lives, but you can find success where you are.
However, in the time since I posted last I’ve gained some valuable insight into online marketing, writing online, and of course generating revenue from affiliations. I’ve also learned a lot more about SEO and how that ties into, specifically, the words we write and how we write them. All of that said I’m hopeful that from here on out I’ll be able to continue writing here about success motivation and in a way that helps draw more traffic and participation.
I met someone online over a year ago who runs a site called Webmaster Ultimate Resources, and I felt compelled to mention it briefly here because the site offers an incredible amount of useful resources and tools. For example, on the top menu bar there’s a link to the Social Network page, where you can learn all about hooking your online presence up with the most popular social networking websites. In my case social networking, or rather the proper use of it, has been something I’ve lacked in so to find that page was helpful. Stop by and check out the site when you have the time.
You may recall (or can easily browse through my archives) that I recently wrote a series of articles in the segment “7 Traits of Success.” Well I’ve been considering my next installment and I am planning on doing something related to article marketing, or writing online, because that’s an area that I have received the most inquiries about. A lot of people who seek out and find this site are those who typically have a home business or want to, and are looking to find ways to either make extra income, market their home business or products, or who simply want to find out how they can use the internet to showcase their writing.
Expect this next series to start next week or so, and be sure to share any question you may, or insights you can share about your own online writing experiences. I’d also like to express a belated Happy New Year to everyone.
Camping Is Awesome
I always promote work-life balance not because we deserve it, which we all do, but because of the impact it has on our personal and business lives. Spending time away from work allows you to spend valuable time reconnecting with your family and reaffirming your commitment to and love for them. That time also allows them to show you how much you mean to them and as a result you get a significant boost to your creative capacity and mental stamina, booth of which are crucial to your home business success.
But as it relates directly to your work, vacations or any time away from your home office is a good thing because it allows you to look at your work plate with a new perspective. Remember the school days when you had to write a paper or essay, and how after you wrote it and looked at it again later you saw significant changes you could make and which would make the paper better? Getting away from your work has the same benefit… you’ll come back and see many things in a new way. One of my favorite get-a-ways (and I believe it’s the perfect get-a-way) is to go camping with my family.
While I’m out there, fishing with my son or hiking along some trails, I have time to reflect on things and yes even consider some ideas about my business I had been mulling over. It is amazing how such a perspective can impact your business and your drive to do more and do it better. I don’t take work with me, of course, nor do I take a laptop or check my e-mail or messages. But you can’t help with so much peace and quiet but to think about the things in your life, and work is one of them. I have some of my most profound ideas while outdoors camping with my family. If you don’t normally camp with your family I really suggest you take a look specifically at my article below about Family Hiking… there has been no other vacation where I’ve gotten more valuable and precious family time (and personal rejuvenation) than from these hikes… I think you’ll be inspired.
But with a background in law enforcement and security I know the dangers of camping and that a large majority of camping accidents and injuries happen when people don’t prepare for their outing and so I wanted to take a moment here to encourage everyone to take time to truly prepare the next time you go camping and follow some sounds practices. I was going to list some of my own camping tips here but thought I would refer you to one of my new articles on this subject over at Squidoo about camping and camp tips. The article talks about a camping checklist and things you should do to make the trip much safer and more fun. It’s very comprehensive and much more than I could list here. Below are links to a couple of my other camping and hiking related articles which you may find useful. While you’re out there relax, reflect and refuel.

How To Make A Paracord Bracelet – This is one of my favorites to do with my family… it’s loads of fun and easy!
